Kyle Lee — Contemporary Ceramic Artist

Born in White Plains, New York, and currently residing in the Park Avenue area of Rochester, Kyle Lee is an accomplished ceramic artist known for his voluptuous vessels, vases, and well-turned tableware. Each piece serves as a canvas for his distinctive hand painting and innovative surface treatments.

Over the past decade, Kyle’s career has flourished, with his work featured in prominent publications, galleries, and exhibitions both nationally and internationally. His bold use of color, expressive brushwork, and inventive resist and color-blocking techniques have become hallmarks of his signature style, earning him a dedicated following among art enthusiasts and collectors.

Beyond his success in the fine art world, Kyle has collaborated with a number of well-known brands to create striking ceramic designs and graphics. His openness to experimentation and ability to blend mediums keeps his practice evolving and his creative voice fresh.

Kyle is equally committed to giving back to his community. Through partnerships with various organizations, he uses his art to raise awareness and support for important social causes.

With numerous accolades and a growing international fan base, Kyle Lee continues to push the boundaries of contemporary ceramics. Throughout his career, Kyle has shared his expertise as an educator, teaching at the Educational Alliance Art School in Manhattan and GasworksNYC in Brooklyn. He has trained extensively in studios throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn and has exhibited in solo and group shows across New York City and abroad. His work is held in private collections throughout the United States, as well as in London, France, and China.

A practicing ceramicist for over 20 years, Kyle blends traditional forms with a colorful, abstract approach to glaze and design, often employing wax and vinyl resist color-blocking techniques to create his distinctive surfaces.

Kyle is a founding member of the BKLYN CLAY Ceramic Studio,  an Associate Artist and Member at the Flower City Art Center and a contributor to the Public Ceramics nonprofit.
