The CeramicMeltdown Studio Membership Guidelines

Membership Details

• The Membership includes a Worktop Table Space and Three Shelves (35"H x 18"D x 36"W
• The Membership requires a 6 month Studio Commitment
• The Membership Fee of $300 is due on the first of each month; a late fee of $50 will apply for any payments made after the due date.
• Firing Frees are additional
• The Membership does not include Tools, Clay or Glaze Materials (Members provide their own)
• The Membership includes a set of keys to access the facility and studio.
• The membership includes24/7 access to the studio (unless otherwise notified)

Studio Health, Safety, Maintenance and Etiquette

• Studio Members must stay home and quarantine if sick with Covid19, Flu or any other transferable or contagious medical sickness, to ensure the health and safety of all other studio members, If sick with Cold or Flu,
• Studio Members must maintain professionalism while working in the studio.  Sexual harassment, hate or racism will not be tolerated.  Political conversations should be discussed outside of the studio.
• Studio Members must wipe down and clean any communal studio surfaces before leaving the studio
• Studio Members must not push clay into the sink drain and follow the proper process for disposing unwanted glazes, clay and other materials.

Workshops, Parties, Classes, Social Gatherings or Events

• Workshops, parties, classes, social gatherings or events in the studio are prohibited without securing prior approval from the Studio Owner.
• Studio Members are prohibited from using the studio as a social hangout or gathering space.

Studio Guests and Visitors

• Studio Members may bring a guests/visitor during non-operating hours for up to 1 Hour Maximum, with prior approval from the Studio Owner ONLY 
• Studio Members must be present in the studio at all times during a guest visit and the guest must be supervised at all times.
• Studio Members must ensure guests/visitors are accompanied to and from the studio and building.
• Guests are NOT permitted to use, remove or operate any studio equipment (This includes, Wheels, Kiln, Pugmill and any other electrical equipment without pre-approval from the Studio Owner.
• Guests are NOT permitted to use or remove any studio tools (This includes, Throwing, Trimming or Decorating Tools and any other electrical equipment without pre-approval from the Studio Owner

Studio Supplies and Material Orders

• Membership into the collective ceramic studio allows access to Ceramic Supply for delivery of ceramic materials and supplies.
• The member may independently order ceramic supplies and materials from Ceramic Supply company of their choosing.

Studio Trash and Recycling

• The member is required to take their trash (clay boxes, plastic, glass and any food or food containers) to the exterior dumpsters outside.

Security Deposit

• The Security Deposit is in the amount of one month of Studio Membership Fee.
• The Security Deposit CAN NOT be applied to the final month’s membership fees.

Deposit Refund

Refund of the Security Deposit will be secured if all criteria are adequately fulfilled

• The Studio Member has met the 6 month Studio Commitment
• The Studio Member has provided 1 Month notice of intent to terminate the membership beginning from the first of the month
• The Studio Member has returned the Building Key Fob and Studio Keys on or before the termination end date
• The Studio Member has vacated all personal belongings on or before the termination end date.

Deposit Forfeiture

Failure to comply with any of the listed below will result in forfeiture of the Security Deposit.

• The Studio Member has not met the 6 month Studio Commitment
• The Studio Member has not provided 30 day notice of intent to terminate the membership
• The Studio Member has not returned the Building Key Fob and Studio Keys before the termination end date
• The Studio Member as not vacated all personal belongings before the termination end date.
• The Studio Member has not complied with the Studio / Membership Guidelines.

Studio Membership Contract Agreement Termination

• The Studio Owner reserves the right to terminate the Studio Membership agreement at any anytime, if the Studio Member is not compliant with the Studio / Membership Guidelines.
